Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Note 3 at the IFA 2013 event in Berlin. The Note 3 is one of the most hyped products this year with loads of leaked pictures, specifications, benchmarks and speculative reports. The announced came on the same day Sony unveiled its flagship Sony Xperia Z1. As Note 3 pre-sales begin, it will be competing with other awesome big devices like the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Sony Xperia Z1, LG G2 and HTC One Max.
Stacked up against the competition, Note 3 has almost similar features as its competition except it has the largest display. Though the Sony Xperia Z1 has a 5” TFT LCD, Xperia Z Ultra has 6.4” and LG G2 has 5.2“ IPS display, both of them are full HD with higer PPI compared to Note 3’s 57” SuperAMOLED display. Almost all of the high end smartphones or phablets today have the Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and so does the Note 3. The 3G version of the smartphone will feature Samsung’s Exnyos 5 Octa processor, which comes with ARM Cortex-A15 at 1.9GHz and four extra Cortex-A7 cores at 1.3GHz. However, the Note 3 packs 3 GB of RAM compared to 2 GB which is the norm in high end smartphones. All in all, the Note 3 is a feature packed beast and design-wise there is a slight improvement compared to Note 3.
