Scrap the Phone
Buy a new one

I tried everything
Google Launcher
Apex Launcher
They all work after a factory reset then usually once I try and install whatsapp the whole system crashes, totally unable to get to the home screen or a settings menu…

Hi,

I have flashed CM13 this error is giving nightmare. I have tried everything. Clearing cache, dalvik, NOVA, Google Now everything but still it doesn’t work. If I install any new application from then it gives me error till I uninstall the app. The only option is to do the factory reset which is big pain as I have to then install all the apps again out of which few Mobile Banking (International Bank Account) is pain as I have to call the Executive and do the setup.

Any other thing which I can try before doing factory reset?

I am using a Lenovo ZUK Z1, and without any changes to the device settings whatsoever, it started giving the error – Trebuchet isn’t responding.
Going by the tricks mentioned online – I managed to install Nova Launcher and set it as default – but now the error has changed to – Nova Launcher isn’t responding.
My phone screen is freezing within 10-15 sec of being switched on – leading to constant reboots every 2 minutes – which drained a fully charged battery twice. Along with this, the entire upper frame of the phone has been heating up to scary levels, post which I just switch it off and keep it on the side.
Please help!

Just Download New Launcher and Error will not appear again (Can download from PC to phone with play store ID if phone shows continues errors )

Not always that simple. If the resollution is too high, will continue to crash. My solution was another application to replace Trebuchet. Then I was able to reduce the resolution and go back to Trebuchet.

I’ve since learned that One Plus is a CRAP phone and no amount of software can fix it. You can polish a turd and it looks shiny, but alas, it is still a turd. SO glad to be done with them. Service is HORRIBLE!! Don’t ever break, or you might as well just throw it away.

I had the same issue with my One Plus One phone and tried to use above 3 steps to fix unfortunately it didn’t worked
But then I discovered something new and my issue got fixed
If you are facing this Trebuchet issue, just follow below step… who knows might fix ur issue

In Settings…. Go to “Security”…. In Security go to “Device administrators”..
In Device administrators check if “Android Device Manager” is checked/ticket.
If it is not ticket simply tick the box to select “Android Device Manager” and then ur problem is solved
Try this … it might solve ur issue…..
