After initially teasing the Nintendo Switch 2 on the 16th of January, Nintendo is set to unveil the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 with a dedicated Nintendo direct live stream on the 2nd of April. The pre-recorded presentation which is said to be approximately 60 minutes, will focus exclusively on the Switch 2.

As per the teaser released in January, the Nintendo Switch 2 will have a built-in kickstand, a docking system, and two USB-C ports which is a handy upgrade from the previous Nintendo Switch.
The blank button which was seen during the tease of the Nintendo Switch 2 in January has now been officially confirmed as the “C” button in a recent teaser video released by Nintendo.

While it has not yet been confirmed what the C button actually does, there has been fan speculation regarding it. Some say it is a Chat button allowing for voice communication within the Community, while others speculate it could stand for Campus comparing it to the Wii U’s MiiVerse. There’s also a rumor that, the ‘C’ button will allow you to connect the console to your original Switch potentially for cross-play or data transfers.
Backward Compatibility and Game Library
Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 will support backward compatibility. This means that the players will be able to play both physical and digital Switch games on the Switch 2. However, some games may not be fully optimized or compatible due to hardware differences.
While no game has officially been confirmed for the Switch 2, the January teaser did show some footage of a Mario Kart game.

While Nintendo has not officially announced the price of the Nintendo Switch 2, analysts predict the Switch 2 could be priced somewhere between $399 to $499, depending on the various storage options and hardware capabilities.
