If you own a Samsung Galaxy device, you have probably come across a notification that says “Contents Hidden”. To view the content, you will need to unlock the device first. On some Samsung Galaxy devices, this feature is enabled by default. Samsung says this is a security feature to protect your personal information. Some may be okay with unlocking the device to view the content of the notification, but some people want to see whatever the notification is directly on their lock screen without needing to unlock the device. It is advisable to keep this feature enabled, but if you want to disable it and see the content directly on the lock screen, you have the power to do so. You can easily disable this feature from the device’s settings. Here’s how to disable Contents Hidden feature on Samsung Galaxy.
Disable Contents Hidden Feature on Samsung Galaxy
The steps are simple and you should not have any problem following them. If you are annoyed with not being able to view notifications contents right from the lock screen of your Samsung Galaxy device, there is a way you can get rid of it. Following the steps below will remove the Contents Hidden message from the notification and will show the original notification content instead.
Step 1: Open Settings. You can do that either from the Notification panel or by taping on Settings’ icon from the App Drawer.
Step 2: Scroll down till you find Lock Screen and Security.
Step 3: Find Notification. Tap on it.
Step 4: You will see an item with the text Hide Content. There should be a toggle beside it. Tap on the toggle to disable the feature.
Now you will see the original message on the notification instead of Contents Hidden.
