Google Photos was originally a simple storage and sharing service for photos and videos, but now it is also a robust photo editor with steady improvements and features making it an impressive photo editor. Google rolled out a major update for Google Photos which included a feature called the “Deep Blue”. This, according to the developers, enhances the aesthetics or beauty of sky and water in the images. Here’s how to use Deep Blue on Google Photos.

Use Deep Blue

Step 1: First, open your Google Photos app and select the picture you want to enhance. Try to use a photo with sky or water as this feature may give poor results if applied to other blue objects.

Step 2: Once you’ve pick up an image with either sky or water, tap on the pen icon located on the toolbar below.

Step 3: Tapping on the Pen icon will open a menu with various sliders that adjusts the light, color and clarity.

Step 4: Now, tap on the expand icon located next to the color slider. Scroll down till you reach the bottom. You will find the Deep Blue slider.

Step 5: Play with the slider till you get an appealing result.use Deep Blue

This is it. You can use Deep Blue on any of your photos with either sky or water or both to make it more vibrant. Although it has limited use, it can still be useful in highlighting the sky or water without messing up with other elements in the photo. However, you should keep in mind that Deep Blue will mess up with other objects with the color blue. Deep Blue is just one of the feature; there are some more features that Google introduced with this update. Be sure to check them out.
