People are obsessed with gifs; especially those adorable cat gifs. They share them on a variety of social networks except on Instagram; because it doesn’t support them. If you try to upload a gif on Instagram, it will just upload the first frame of the gif. But there is a work around. Here’s how to upload a gif on Instagram.
Ever heard of the app called Giphy? The ever-popular app with a huge collection of gifs from all over the internet? Of course you have. Using this app, you can find and share gifs files to Instagram. Read on to know how to.
Step 1: Install Giphy if you haven’t already. You can find it for free on the Google Play Store.
Step 2: Open the app and search for the gif you want. You can use keywords based on what you are searching for.
Step 3: After you find the gif you’re looking for, tap on it to open the gif.
Step 4: Now, tap on the 3 don menu icon and then on the Instagram icon that you can find under the gif. The app will begin converting the gif into a video
Step 5: After the conversion is finished, the app will automatically prompt you to share it on Instagram.
So what about the gifs you already have on your device? You can try and search it on Giphy but you’ll probably won’t find it. However, there is a better way. You can still share it on Instagram but you will have to convert it to a video manually. You need to use another app.
