Rumors were rife that Samsung is planning to bring out a rugged version of Galaxy S4 which would be waterproof and dust-proof. Samsung’s much anticipated phablet, the Galaxy Note 3, made its appearance in the AnTuTu benchmarks featured as GT-N7200. On the supposed benchmark, Note 3 received 27,914 which is slightly lower than the 28,000 score of Galaxy S4. The device has a 1.6 Ghz processor with Android 4.3 OS. The processor clock speed is similar to that of the Exynos 5 Octa processor of the Galaxy S4. However, we are not yet sure if the benchmark really is of the Note 3. Sammobile who got hold of the first photo of S4 has leaked yet another picture of a handset yet to be released. This time it’s the supposed Galaxy S4 Mini and the picture was acquired by sammobile via a twitter post by a user who managed to snap some shots of the device. In the image below you can see the S4 Mini at far right next to the Galaxy S3.

In the aftermath of the disastrous earthquake that struck Lushan county near Ya’an in the Sichuan province of China, tech companies like Samsung, Apple and Taiwan have expressed their solidarity, condolences and pledged to provide donations that total $32 million US dollar. Samsung has recently announced the release of two new smartphones or phablets in its line of mid range products. The device is called Samsung Mega which is available in two variants- one with 6.3 inch 1280 x 720, 720p and another with 5.8 inch qHD display(960 x 540), both have Android 4.2 jellybean OS. The 6.3″ Mega also comes with LTE network and higher processor. This means Samsung now has the smartphone with the biggest display. Earlier, Huawei Ascend Mate boasted of having ” the world’s largest display” as it unveiled its humungous 6.1 inch display at the CES 2013. Continue reading
