Cyanogenmod “incognito mode” coming soon to protect your personal data from apps

Great news for Cyanogenmod (CM) users. CM developers are planning to add a “run in incognito” mode in the latest Cyanogenmod ROM. Users will be able to simply go to system settings and turn this feature on. In the Incognito mode, third party apps will not be able to access your personal information. Even when the apps request such information, your ROM or operating system will return empty list for contacts, messages, calendar and browser history.
