Google has recently released a new smartphone under the Nexus series- the Motorola Nexus 6. As the name directs, this time the new Nexus phablet is built by Motorola, breaking the trend of previous two made by LG. The Motorola Nexus 6 is a 6-inches giant beast phablet, boasting the top-notch specs among all the android devices released now (in terms of hardware and software both). This device was leaked as the codename ‘Motorola Shamu’ many times before.Motorola Nexus 6

While discussing about the specs of the Motorola Nexus 6, it features a 6-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) AMOLED capacitive display, which has a pixel density of 490 ppi. The handset sports a sleek profile with dimensions 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm and weighs 184 grams, which is quite heavy but is fine given the display size. The phone will have 32 or 64 GB of internal memory, with no any option of expandable storage, as always done in the Nexus devices. It has 3 GB RAM,  and for the processing power, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset complied with a Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450, and an Adreno 420 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash which can capture videos upto 2160p @ 30 fps, and a 2 MP secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Non-removable Li-Ion 3220 mAh battery, which is claimed to give a talktime of 24 hours in 3G. For the connectivity options, there will be LTE support, InfraRed, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and NFC. The phone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, which is announced simultaneously with the launch of this device. The OS of this device will be pure and stock Android, as Google has always been doing with the Nexus devices. The phone will be available only  in Midnight Blue and Cloud White color options. The phone will have two front speakers, in the same design as the Motorola’s Moto series smartphones.

In terms of availability and pricing, the Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order from October 29 and available in November, sold unlocked or through carriers. Sprint, US Cellular, AT&T and T-Mobile will sell the Nexus 6 in the US. The 32 GB version of the Nexus 6 will cost $649 unlocked, while the 64 GB version will cost $699. In Europe the 32GB and 64GB models are expected to retail for €569 and €649, respectively, though there is no official confirmation about this yet. Google will continue to sell the Nexus 5 as well, with no any change in the price, and it will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop too.

Now, with the enormous increase in size of the Nexus smartphone, the Motorola Nexus 6 has become gigantic. We wonder if Google has made the display size of 6 inches in this device to match with the name (as the Nexus 5 was 5 inches too), but if it is, then what will be the display size of next Nexus smartphone (nexus 7) will be?
