LG has released new budget Android smartphones with some mid-to-low end specs: the LG L60 and its dual sim version. Available as LG L60 X145 and LG L60 Dual X147 in the market, these smartphones run in the Android KitKat,having a mid-range processor. Both the phones have same specs, except the battery size and dual (mini) sim support by the dual variant, as the name suggests itself.

While discussing about the specs, the phone has a 4.3 inches TFT capacitive display of 480 X 800 pixels, giving a pixel density of 217 ppi. Physically, the phone measures 124.1 x 66.3 x 11.8 mm and has the weight of 119 grams, which is not so decent but not much bad too. The phone will have 4 GB of internal memory, which can be extended by  a microSD card upto 32 GB. It has 512 MB RAM (which is considered to be pathetic for the KitKat version of Android, as we can imaging how its multitasking will be),  and for the processing power, there will be a quad core 1.3 GHz CPU, and an Adreno 305 GPU. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 5 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED Flash which can capture videos upto 480p @ 30 fps, and a VGA MP secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Li-Ion 1540 mAh battery (is upgraded to 1700 mAh for the L60 dual though), which is claimed to give a talktime of upto 5 hours in 3G. For the connectivity options, there will be 3G only support, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The phone will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, and since these are the budget phones, they are less likely to get any updates in the future. The phone will be available in  black and white color options.

While rest of the specs are almost fine for these budget LG smartphones, we can see the downside is the RAM. Had it have a slightly higher RAM, it would be a good option to buy. Still, it is fine for budget lovers, since it is priced OK (it is launched for Rs. 7,999) in India, and  almost same price is expected worldwide.
