Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has an interesting feature called the Always On Display or AOD in short. This feature, when enabled, will keep the clock, date, battery level and other information visible even if the screen is turned off. This feature is made to ensure it doesn’t use too much battery using hardware and software optimizations. Thanks to THSoftware, we can now get this feature on any android device. Here’s how to get Always On Display on Android device.

How to get Always On Display on Android device

Before we start, we first need to know the types of display android phones use. This app simply displays white text on black background. That means if your device has AMOLED screen, only the white pixels will be used, minimizing the battery consumption. However, if you have a LCD screen, the entire backlight needs to be lit to display the text. This consumes comparatively more battery.
